Sunovin 770G (Granular)

CAS#: 52829-07-9  |  SUNSUN770P-BG

Polyurethanes

TDS

Sunovin 770G is a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) of N-H type that protects polymers from degradation due to ultraviolet radiation and long term heat aging. Sunovin 770G is effective for use in PP, PE, ethylene-propylene copolymer and terpolymer, polyurethane, ABS, PS, HIPS, SAN and PVC. Can be used alone or in combination with higher molecular weight HALS for the UV stabilization of both thick and then cross section articles including tapes, films, automotive parts, and lawn furniture. Can be used in combination with phenolic and phosphite antioxidants, HALS, and UVA's to optimize performance in outdoor use. Use with sulfur-containing additives can have a negative influence on the effectiveness of Sunovin 770G.

Trimethylolpropane - TMP

CAS#: 77-99-6

Polyurethanes

Trimethylolpropane (TMP) is a tri-functional alcohol with a wide spectrum of applications in the chemical industry, e.g. for the synthesis of alkyd and polyester resins, synthetic lubricants, PU-foams, and lacquers or glues and adhesives. TMP is also used for the production of dyestuffs, pigments, paints, and silicone products. A chemical compound synthesized from the two-step reaction of butanol and formaldehyde and their product's synthesis with sodium hydroxide, is used to create Ethoxylated and propoxylated Trimethylolpropane (TMP) for the production of polyurethanes. TMP's largest use is as a precursor in the production of alkyd resins which produce coatings, followed by the production of allyl ethers for the production of high-gloss coatings and ion exchange resins. Applications include: Alkyd, polyester, and polyurethane synthesis; Crosslinking of coatings, adhesives and printing inks; TiO2 pigment dispersions; and Synthesis of rad-cure monomers.
